The Sentimentality of Gardens

Who doesn’t like gardens?

It is a wonderful mosaic of sight, smell, and feel. A garden is a wonderful place where one can just forget the world and be absorbed in its beauty.

No wonder people love gardens.

So much that they spend countless hours toiling in their own gardens just so they get the look they want. Not to mention the money they spend on flowers, plants, fertilizers, and other implements to ensure a great garden.

But really, are we just being sentimental with gardens? Do we just enjoy them for how they look and what they make us feel?

If you ask me, then I would most definitely say no.

Thing is, gardens are more than just a pretty sight. Here are some benefits you can get from a garden.

  1. A place where you can plant beneficial plants.
  2. A place where you can relax and unwind.
  3. A perfect place to spend time with family and friends.
  4. A great way for somebody to exercise.
  5. A great conversation starter.

These are just some of the more shallow reasons why people love gardens. It’s not just about sentimentality. Gardens have uses.
